The Bartlett Arboretum offers courses on tree care for those interested in a career in arboriculture. The course is offered in the winter. Students who attend class, read the assigned materials and work with the instructors can expect to do well on the Connecticut Arborist Exam.
Arboriculture English
This course will meet primarily on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in February and March, from 6:00-9:00pm. All classes will be held in the Visitors Center at the Arboretum unless otherwise noted. Any class canceled due to weather will be re-scheduled. The written exam is administered at the Bartlett, the practical exam will be held at the CT Agriculture Experiment Station. The written examination date will be given out the first night of class.
The course fee is $500. You need to also purchase the course texts for an additional $55. To register send a deposit of $250, or full payment to 151 Brookdale Road Stamford, CT 06903, with the other $250 due on or before the first day of class. Class manuals will be distributed the first night of class.
