First Thursdays in the Perennial Gardens
Thursday, August 3
9:30 a.m - 11:00 a.m.
Stop by the perennial gardens surrounding the Great Lawn.
On the first Thursday of each month from May to October, a team of certified UConn Extension Master Gardeners, who tend the three perennial gardens, will be present to share their extensive knowledge related to successfully growing the flowers in these gardens. The theme for this month will be Good Bug, Bad Bug! Master gardeners will be focusing on the harmful and beneficial bugs found in the common garden, highlighting the importance of insects in the garden ecosystem.
The public is invited to stop by, view the gardens, and ask questions. In case of inclement weather, the First Thursday will be canceled for the day.
