Richard "Cookie" Thomas Concert

Our Summer Sunday Concert Series continues with Richard “Cookie” Thomas. The concert will take place on the Great Lawn or in the Silver Educational Center if there's rain. Bring chairs or a blanket, and a picnic dinner. Wendy’s Weenies food truck will also be on site, serving hot dogs, philly cheese steak wedges, cheeseburgers, grilled cheese and drinks!

A versatile jazz vocalist in Stamford, Connecticut, and an undiscovered treasure, Richard “Cookie” Thomas’ career began in Philadelphia in 1960 when he had the opportunity, at fourteen, to open for B.B. King. Richard’s voice is especially suited to well-known classic standards. Richard draws his inspiration from the likes of Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, and Johnny Hartman.

$5 for members, $10 for non-members, free for children 12 & under.

For this performance, Project Music will be opening for Cookie Thomas. Project Music is an after-school music education program for students from Stamford, CT. Learn more about this amazing local organization at https://projectmusic.org/
