Come join us for this special terrarium building workshop - the gardening world’s most rewarding make-and-take workshop where everyone succeeds.

During this class, each attendee is able to create a small, natural world encased in glass. We will begin with an explanation of terrariums and how they work to minimize maintenance and make indoor gardening sparkle. From there, you will receive a step-by-step demonstration before crafting your own glass-encased masterpiece!

Our session will be led by Tovah Martin, a celebrated horticulturalist and author. Her works include “Unexpected Houseplant” and “The New Terrarium”. She has also appeared on “The Martha Stewart Show” and the PBS television gardening series “Cultivating Life,” where she served as editorial producer.

This workshop is recommended for ages 2nd Grade and older. Guests must supply their own glassware. Please contact the education department with any questions about appropriate glassware at 203-883-4035. The Bartlett Arboretum will supply plants and soil mediums.

The workshop instruction fee is $25 for members (plus a $20 materials charge), and $35 for Non-members (plus a $20 materials charge). If you are interested in becoming a member, please click here.

Space is limited to 30 guests, please register today! REGISTRATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY OCTOBER 27!
