On the first Thursday of each month from May to October, a team of certified UConn Extension Master Gardeners, who tend the three perennial gardens, will be present to share their extensive knowledge related to successfully growing the flowers in these gardens. The public is invited to stop by, view the gardens, and ask questions.
Learn what to plant in sunny or shady locales in your garden when Advanced Master Gardeners Nedra Gillette, Cathy Lynch and Beth Miller introduce visitors to the Cottage Garden, the Perennial Boarder, and the Sundial Garden. The Master Gardeners will identify the various early Spring perennials and bulbs currently in bloom and answer your gardening and design questions. The Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens Tour will be held at peak blooming season on June 11 and 12. The tour includes the picturesque Bartlett gardens as well as five other gardens in the surrounding area, and is designed so that visitors experience the beauty and range of landscapes and environments. In addition to the tour, on Monday both a luncheon and boutique will be available at the Bartlett as part of the event.
