Guided Tours
Our 2010 tours will be announced shortly.

Located in North Stamford, the Bartlett Arboretum's 91-acres offer the perfect backdrop for a variety of fun and educational guided walking tours. These tours are designed to appeal to families with children of all ages, and avid or occasional gardeners.

Guided tours last approximately one hour and start at the Visitor Center terrace. Flat, comfortable walking shoes are suggested.

Tours are free with garden admission.

Self-guided tours of the Bartlett's gardens and trails can be done any day of the week. Individual garden and trail maps are available in the Visitor Center or at the parking lot gazebo.

To arrange a private group tour call 203 322-6971.

Gardens in Bloom

Gardens in Bloom
The tour begins with a look at the 130' long Perennial Border. Take an hour-stroll with us!

This is an informal 1 hour tour of the Cottage Garden and the Perennial Border - and a look at any other nearby plants in bloom that catch our attention.

Advanced Master Gardener, Hilary Forsyth has looked after this garden for 11 years and she is still "amazed at how the Border changes from week to week." There are always new plants in bloom, and new foliage to enjoy.

AMGs Nedra Gillette and Laura Sprengelmeyer have been working with the Bartlett's Curator of Botany, Eric Morgan and a team of MGs and MG Interns to enlarge and renovate the nearby Cottage Garden. This area is looking wonderful! Come and join the tour, and learn all about the plans for this shady garden area, why certain plants were chosen, which fabulous annuals will provide added interest to the garden during the summer.

Meet at the Visitor Center terrace.
