Morgan and Environmental Scientist, Jon Borysiewicz traveled to Loreto, Peru to study the differences of the plant populations, from the open space to the interior of the forest, in particular the Araceae or aroid family.
The goal of the trip will be to create mathematical models of plant distributions and to better understand tropical forest processes.
The findings and photos from the trip will be presented in a lecture, Tropical Rainforests of the World, held at UConn Stamford on March 13, 2010.
