A passionate gardener since childhood, Laurie completed the Master Gardener program at the Bartlett in 2017. Since then, she has been involved in many of the Bartlett’s programs and activities as a volunteer and is currently the Bartlett volunteer herbarium curator and a member of the Education Committee. She is also an advocate of fostering the plant/human connection through therapeutic gardening and aromatherapy.

Prior to joining the Bartlett in 2019, Laurie’s professional career included positions in various areas of the information technology field with emphasis on database and system administration, data management, and system and technical analysis.

In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, bowling, playing tennis, creating tribal and botanical inspired art jewelry, collecting fossils and gemstone carvings, and hanging out with her son watching action movies.
