Potter's Field Cemetery Trail Tour - SOLD OUT

  • Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens 151 Brookdale Road Stamford, CT 06903 (map)

Whether you’re looking for a spooky activity for Halloween or are curious about some of our local history, this is a special tour you won’t want to miss!

For over a century, Potter’s Field acted as a resting place for Stamford’s poor and unclaimed. This tour will explore its rich history, including who is buried there and why, a history of the transition from the time it closed to the present day, including a headline-grabbing and tragic unsolved mystery in the 1970s.

Led by an experienced environmentalist and biologist, this tour will also include an overview of the ecological and arboricultural significance of the area.

This tour is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Suggested age: 13+

Meet in the main parking lot five minutes prior to the tour start time.
