Join expert birder, David Warne, for a morning walk around the Bartlett grounds to look for rare bird sightings and other signs of bird activity.
June brings the height of the breeding season to Connecticut, with forests, meadows, and wetlands alive with birdsong. Look for colorful species such as Indigo Buntings, Baltimore Orioles, Eastern Bluebirds, and a variety of nesting warblers. Resident and migratory birds are busy feeding young, making June an excellent time to observe breeding behaviors and enjoy some of the region’s most active birdlife.
Please wear sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing. Binoculars are welcome.
