Autumn Fungi/Mushroom Walk

Take a closer look at the fascinating world beneath the forest canopy on a guided autumn fungi walk through the Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens. Led by one of our experienced educators with a special interest in mushrooms and fungi, we’ll wander the trails in search of the remarkable forms, colors, and textures that emerge throughout the fall.

Along the way, learn how fungi help decompose organic matter, recycle nutrients, and form important relationships with trees and other plants. We’ll explore how to observe and identify some of the mushrooms and other fungi found at the Bartlett while enjoying the changing leaves and beauty of the autumn woods.

Part nature walk, part mushroom hunt, this seasonal adventure invites you to slow down, look closely, and discover a hidden world thriving among the leaves, logs, and forest floor.

No special knowledge is required, but walking shoes and property attire are highly recommended.
