Join expert birder, David Warne, for a morning walk around the Bartlett grounds to look for rare bird sightings and other signs of bird activity.

October brings peak fall migration to the Bartlett Arboretum, just as the landscape begins to glow with brilliant autumn color. Migrating sparrows, warblers, thrushes, and other songbirds continue their journey south, stopping among the Arboretum’s trees and gardens to rest and refuel. As fall foliage reaches its peak, keep an eye out for birds moving through the colorful canopy, along with familiar year-round residents preparing for the colder months ahead. With changing leaves and changing birdlife, October is one of the most beautiful times to explore the Arboretum.

Please wear sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing. Binoculars are welcome.
