Join some of our Master Gardeners and tree experts for a winter Tree Walk & Identification Workshop at the Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens. This guided program will explore how to identify trees during the winter months, when leaves are absent but important clues remain!
Weather permitting, participants will begin with an outdoor walk to examine and compare the bark of a variety of trees across the Arboretum. The group will then gather indoors in the Adult Classroom of the Silver Education Building for a hands-on workshop focused on identifying trees by their twigs.
The walk and workshop will last approximately 1½ hours. Participants should dress appropriately for an outdoor walk, as part of the program will take place outside.
Date: Tuesday, February 10
Time: 11:00 a.m.
Location: Silver Education Building – Adult Classroom
This program is ideal for anyone interested in tree identification, winter ecology, or learning to read the landscape year-round.
