Join expert birder, David Warne, for a morning walk around the Bartlett grounds to look for rare bird sightings and other signs of bird activity.

By late November, the last colors of autumn are fading and a new season of birdlife is settling in at the Bartlett Arboretum. As fall migration winds down, winter visitors like Dark-eyed Juncos, White-throated Sparrows, and the occasional Fox Sparrow join familiar year-round residents such as chickadees, woodpeckers, and cardinals. With more leaves off the trees, birds can often be easier to spot among the branches and along woodland edges. The quiet days after Thanksgiving are a wonderful time to bundle up, take a walk, and see which feathered visitors have arrived for the season.

Please wear sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing. Binoculars are welcome.
